WARANGAL: A IIIrd year B Tech student of the National Institute of Technology, Warangal ( NITW), sustained serious injuries when he was descending the stairs of the hostel late on Friday night.
According to sources, Arjun Venugopal, sustained injuries on his head, left hand and right leg when he tripped and fell from the second floor of the hostel. A resident of Hyderabad, Venugopal was first taken to a private hospital in Hanamkonda and later to a private hospital in Hyderabad where his condition is said to be critical.
Hostel dean Radhakrishnama Charyulu said some students had informed him that Venugopal could have been in an inebriated condition when the mishap occurred. Kazipet police have registered a case.
