With New Year just round the corner and Christmas almost here, it's celebration time! Marking the festivity and joy around, Google's Happy Holidays doodle is back.
Google Doodle featuring a colourful neon design with images of a snowflake, Santa Claus, bell, snowman, candle and a gift box on a black background, wishes its users "Happy Holidays". A click on the Doodle takes users to holiday-related links like tips for holiday, holiday greetings and budget tours.
Google has traditionally been wishing its users with a pre-Christmas Doodle. Last year, Google's Doodle comprised a collage of photographs of holiday scenes from across the globe.
Google's first holiday Doodle, dating back to year 1999, featured a snowman. The snowman made up for the first "O" of the Google logo, and as users scrolled over the Doodle it displayed the message, "Seasons' greetings with a Google Doodle."
Google Doodles are the decorative changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists and scientists. The first Google Doodle was created by Larry Page and Sergy Brin Google in the year 1998 to mark the celebrations of the Burning Man Festival. Google currently has over 1000 Doodles.
Recently, Google has revamped its Doodle site, allowing users to purchase items including Doodles.
