Web application programmer

You will be working in a team of highly motivated engineers from our Hyderabad office (Kondapur, near High Tech city). Your job will be to program plugins (called connectors) for our webbased federated Search Engine. You will be trained by experienced people in your team, and working together with both our Indian and Dutch engineers.

The technology we use is difficult to describe. It’s a mix of various matters. A thorough understanding of the following technologies is needed for the job: 

HTML,

XML,

XSLT,

PHP,

JAVASCRIPT incl. JSON,

JAVASCRIPT DEBUGGING,

MOZILLA/FIREBUG,

Able to cope with the differences between browsers. 

As well as good understanding of:

FIFO, stacks in general,

HTTP protocol incl cache, authentication and cookie headers, headers en status codes

Session management,

General website structure,

Objects and classes in any of the above languages,

Practical skills in regular expressions,

Some understanding of MIME-types.

Working in our international team requires:

Speaking and writing in English,

Pro-active communication,

Strong analytical skills,

Ability to work independently and disciplined, combined with:

A habit of asking for support if needed, coming from:

A drive to meet deadlines with good quality.
