Skills:-

Essential Functions

The major areas required of the incumbent to successfully perform in this position

·          Design test cases by studying the requirements and functional specifications 

·          Achieve understanding of product at a detailed level           

·          Develop, document and maintain test suites 

·          Diagnose problems using tools or otherwise 

·          Learn any needed tools/skills efficiently and quickly 

·          Improve procedures/tools etc. for areas of responsibility

·          Defect reporting and tracking

·         Follow the QA processes

·          Effective communication skills

·         Knowledge of Webapps / Tomcat / My SQL

·         Sound knowledge of Test Design / SQL query language

·         Knowledge of defect management process

·         Test automation knowledge using QTP

·          

Qualifications
Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, skills and abilities

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer sciences or Engineering

·         Must have a strong knowledge of software testing.

·         At least 2/3 years of experience testing. Experience in Product Company will be an added advantage.

·         Working knowledge on platforms like  Windows ( NT, 2000,XP ) & Unix (AIX )

·         Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
