They must be detail oriented with excellent research and decision making ability, and be able to work accurately under deadline pressure.
They must have current knowledge of regulations regarding mortgage lending & familiarity with both conventional & govt mortgage policies.
They must be flexible to work in night shifts.
Understanding and applying Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines
Desktop Underwriter and Loan Prospector
Reading and analyzing a credit report
Calculating income: salaried, bonus, overtime, commission, rental income
Calculating self-employment income including cash flow analysis of 1040’s, 1065, 1120’s, K1’s
Understanding a preliminary title report, vesting, liens of record
Reading and analyzing appraisal reports including Single Family Residence, Multi family residence, Condominium, attached PUDs
Reviewing asset statements for complete and accurate data
Working in a paperless environment
