HYDERABAD: Two women, who were on their way to catch a bus at
Lakdi-ka-pul, were crushed under the wheels of a lorry near ICICI Bank,
Khairatabad, late on Friday night.
The Saifabad police said 20-year-old Parveena alias Sameera, a resident of Borabanda, was supposed to catch a Chennai-bound bus at KPHB on Friday at around 9.35 pm. As she failed to reach on time, the bus left KPHB. In order to catch it at Lakdi-ka-pul, where it had a scheduled halt, Sameera sought the help of her friend Krishna, 22. "After reaching Khairatabad, Krishna tried to overtake a lorry from the left side and came under its wheels. Both died on the spot," Saifabad sub-inspector Mohammed Mahmood Ali said.
