HYDERABAD: Three rag-pickers went missing at the Jawaharnagar dump yard. Police suspect that the three women may have got buried under the mounds of waste.
On Tuesday morning, Santamma, Ankamma, Andaalu, all rag-pickers from Yellareddyguda in Kushaiguda, went to the Jawaharnagar dump yard to collect plastic and glass material. After failing to locate them at the yard, they lodged a complaint with the Kushaiguda PS.
A year ago, four ragpickers died when they got buried under the garbage heaps. Despite elaborate search operations, authorities could not even recover their bodies.
