Oracle to hire 3,500 new employees in India




 Oracle Corp is on a major recruitment drive in India. The company is planning to hire 3,500 new personnel across all its businesses by May next year, reports the Times of India.
India is one of the major markets for Oracle. To offer its  customers in India a wide array of products and solutions spanning database, middleware, applications and hardware in the Indian market, the company is planning to launch “Oracle Database Appliance” and the “Oracle SPARC SuperCluster T4-4″, says a recent report.  Oracle Database Appliance is an easy-to-use, affordable, and highly available database appliance and Oracle SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 is based on Oracle’s new SPARC T4 servers that delivers the biggest generational performance increase in the history of Oracle’s SPARC processors.
Oracle had the current workforce of 21,000 in India with development centres in Bangalore and Hyderabad. The software major needs additional manpower to support its growth across software, hardware, middleware, applications business units.
“With our current workforce and the new hire plan of adding 3,500 more people, we want to ensure we have the right talent, skills and attitude to fuel the growth of our company and serve our customers as they embark on their transformation journeys,” Oracle India Managing Director Sandeep Mathur stated.
The company is planning to use social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube and the Oracle HR blog to meet its hiring targets.
